Devyn
Devyn Grendell (Rosencrantz) is beyond excited to be doing her third tour with Off Road Shakespeare! She is a Cornish College of the Arts graduate with endless enthusiasm for Shakespeare's beautiful, nasty, and honest work. She most recently could be seen in The Light Princess with Dacha Theatre, Legally Blonde at Seattle Musical Theatre, or touring elementary schools with a production of The Odyssey with Book-It Repertory!
Kayla
Kayla Walker (Assistant Director) is thrilled to be back with Off Road. As a lover of free Shakespeare, you may have seen her in Off Road's Twelfth Night as Viola last spring, or outside in Hamlet or Julius Caesar with Wooden O, where she also assistant directed King Lear with George Mount. Most recently, she played the title role in Ada and The Engine at UW and dialect coached The Rivals at Seattle Shakespeare. As an actress and dialect coach, she has worked with Village Theatre (Curious Incident of Dog in the Nighttime, Cabaret, Mary Poppins), A Contemporary Theatre (Christmas Carol), Book-It Repertory Theatre (Emma, I Am of Ireland), Annex Theatre (Girl, Bunnies, Zapoi!), and many more. She is the Associate Producer for The Umbrella Project, which works to ensure diverse works and experiences of the PNW are represented onstage.
Samantha
Samantha Vale (Guildenstern) is thrilled to work with such a generous, supportive ensemble, as Off Road Shakespeare. She graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in 2017 with an emphasis in Original Works. During her time in school she was able to work with Freehold Theatre in a production of Henry V as Nym, and after graduation she had the honor of working with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, in a workshop for The Winter's Tale in their Play On! Series, where she portrayed multiple characters. She is so thankful to continue deepening her Shakespeare work with such a creative team. She would like to thank her educators for letting her fall in love with Shakespeare, and her husband for always making sure she's fed after rehearsals.
Sydney
Sydney Maltese (Polonius) is an actor, writer, and legal advocate. She was most recently directed by Leah Adcock-Starr in Our Country's Good (Strawberry Theatre Workshop) and was a proud member of Off Road's 2019 tour of Twelfth Night. Past Seattle credits include The Tempest (Seattle Shakespeare Company), Peeling (Sound Theatre Company), and The Journey of the Saint (eSe Teatro/ACT Lab). Sydney is an associate artist with Parley, in which capacity she has helped bring to life several new works by local playwrights, including most recently Finding Ruth by Jessica Andrewartha and The Mermaids by Katherine Jett. Prior to moving to Seattle, Sydney was an active part of the theater community of northeastern Ohio. You can also find her at her day job at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.
Kieran
Kieran Adcock-Starr (Player, Music Coordinator) is a co-creator and producer of Off Road Shakespeare with his wife Leah. Their animals at home, Pyramus, Thisbe, and Peter Quince, are clearly very supportive, though Midsummer Night's Dream remains their favorite. Kieran's previous outings with ORS include: Orsino in Twelfth Night (Tour), Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet (Tour), Mercutio/Prince/Paris in Romeo and Juliet (On Location), and Theseus/Hippolyta/Oberon/Titania in Midsummer Night's Dream.
Corey
Corey Lynn Atencio (Player) is excited to be back again with Off Road Shakespeare! Previous projects include: Stage Management in the ORS Tour of Twelfth Night, Tybalt in the ORS Romeo and Juliet Tour and On Location productions, Peter Quince in the ORS Tour of Midsummer, Puck and others in the On Location production of the same, a Lost Girl in The Life and Many Deaths of Peter Pan, Casca in Julius Ceasar, Sally Simpson in The Who's Tommy, Bianca in Othello, and probably some others, but we don't need to travel that far back in time.
Maya
Maya Burton (Horatio) is beyond stoked to go Off Road again. Previous productions with ORS include Twelfth Night (Olivia), Romeo & Juliet (Friar) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena). Some other companies she has worked with include Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Washington Ensemble Theater,Taproot Theater, and Seattle Shakespeare Company. Maya also works as a teaching artist with Florida Children's Theater. Love to Ellsa and sunny South Florida.
Sharon
Sharon Barto Gouran (Gertrude) is grateful to be returning to Off Road after last year's Twelfth Night! Some other favorite credits include: Our Country's Good (Strawberry Theatre Workshop), Crimes of the Heart (Company of Fools in Hailey, ID), Rules of Charity (Sound Theatre Co), and Merchant of Venice (Seattle Shakespeare Co.), Sharon holds a BA in Theatre from Willamette University in Salem, OR.
Avi
Avi Aharoni (Hamlet) is incredibly excited to be performing with Off-Road Shakespeare, as well as in Seattle, for the very first time. A Minnesota native, Aharoni has worked with numerous theatre companies around the Twin Cities, just to name a few: Guthrie Theatre/Transatlantic Love Affair, Park Square Theatre, Theatre Latte Da, MN Jewish Theatre, Dark & Stormy Productions, The Playwright's Center, Pillsbury House Theatre, Swandive Theatre Co., as well as The Guild Theatre in Tel Aviv, Israel. Most recently, Aharoni won a 2019 Golden Lanyard Award in the MN Fringe Festival for his one-man, self-written show "Operation: Immigration”
Adrian
Adrian Cerrato (Player) is proud to return to Off Road Shakespeare for another tour. Adrian was previously seen with Off Road’s touring shows as Antonio in Twelfth Night, Paris in Romeo & Juliet, and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream in addition to their summer productions in which he played Tybalt and Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet and all four of the Lovers in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Adrian received is BA in Drama from the University of Washington.
Mimi
Mimi Santos (Ophelia) is excited to be back with Off Road Shakespeare and “speak the speech.” She was last seen in The Flight Before Xmas with Matcha Theatre Works. Hamlet will be her 6th show with Off Road and she couldn’t be happier. She loves this theatre company and wholeheartedly believes in all the work Off Road Shakespeare does. This show is brilliant and she can’t wait to share it with you!!
Alyssa
Alyssa Kay (Laertes) is ecstatic to be working with Off-Road for another touring season. She has contributed past fight choreography to the company's touring productions of Romeo & Juliet (in which she also performed) and Twelfth Night, as well as the site-specific Romeo & Juliet performed on the UW campus. Alyssa is a born-and-raised Seattlelite and has worked for many local theater companies over the years as an actor, fight choreographer, and intimacy coach. She also works locally as a teaching artist and serves as the NW regional representative for the Society of American Fight Directors. www.alyssakay.net
Maile
Maile Wong (Player) is a Seattle-area actor and teaching artist, and is so excited to be making her Off-Road Shakespeare debut! Favorite past roles include: Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet (Wooden O), Sori in Sheathed (Macha Theatre Company), Paz/Joyce in The Rules of Charity (Sound Theatre Company), and L in Peerless (ArtsWest). She is a graduate of Wellesley College, where she studied Theatre and Developmental Psychology, and the 2016 Intiman Emerging Artist Program.
Nick
Nick Rempel (Claudius) is excited and grateful to be playing with Off Road Shakespeare for the first time. Favorite stage productions include: The Life and Many Deaths of Peter Pan (also directed by Leah); and Jesus Moonwalks the Mississippi (Sound Theatre); and a 21 state tour playing Atticus in To Kill a Mockingbird. He’s acted with Wooden O and the Seattle, Berkeley, Baltimore, and Oregon Shakespeare Festivals. Radio, film and TV credits include: Final Passages (LA Theatre Works); Robin Hood: Men in Tights; Dracula Dead and Loving It; Clay Farmers; and All My Children.
